Question: Whats a good way to fall asleep.?
ive tried waking up early, walking around, etc...now i need some herbel pills or something...what do you recommend.?Health Question & Answer

Legal way's, illegal ways, healthy ways, expensive ways, and Etc...

1) legal ways:
a. NyQuil
b. Tylenol PM
c. Alcohol
d. Sleep-N-Restore
2) Illegal ways:
a. Weed (THC)
3) Healthy ways:
a. Work out (at least 30 Min's cardio a day)
b. Read a book
c. Nice Music (I listen to Radiohead)
4) Expensive ways:
a. See a Doctor lol

Hi. Here are a few suggestions that might help:

1. Before going to bed, make sure you are not doing anything over-stimulating (listening to loud music, watching tv, etc.). Instead, try "slowing down" before bed, such as reading a book or another calming activity.

2. Try listening to soft/soothing music, or a cd specifically designed to help you fall asleep. Amazon.com has a bunch (sorry about the long link)

3. Try not eating right before bed; if your body is still digesting food, you might find it harder to get to sleep.

4. When you try to sleep, are you thinking about a lot of different things that you need to get done or feeling stressed out about something.? If so, maybe those things need to be addressed so your mind isn't racing at night.

5. If all else fails, try talking to your doctor. He/she can help determine if you have any medical issue that might be preventing you from getting to sleep.

Check if you are maybe dehydrated. When you drink to less, than you will wake up in the night and will have a hard time falling in sleep again.

Stop taking all these medicament's for sleeping...if you can not sleep than your body tries to tell you something.

Buy a little bottle of Lavender essential oil, mix 2-4 drops with a lotion at home and massage your shoulders, neck ...inhale it from your hands before you go to bed. Drinking a Chamomile tea before bed. You can also buy a Lavender pillow for the bed - very calming.

But if you have something on your mind what is responsible for your restlessness...well, maybe you should get rid of that first :)

turn off as many lights as possible an hour before you attempt sleep

lay down in a comfortable position and concentrate on sounds...listen for three different kinds of sounds then try to make a sound in your head, then listen for 2 new sounds outside, then 2 in your head...etc etcHealth Question & Answer

When I can't sleep and I really really have to have help doing so, I take NyQuil. It relaxes me and helps me sleep. The only thing is when I wake up I am still tired. But it helps. Health Question & Answer
