Question: Is it true that a mixture of honey and cinnamon is a miracle cure for all sorts of health problems.?
I've heard this. Is it worth trying or not.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Not necessarily a cure all. But, both honey and cinnamon are powerful immune boosters and digestive aids with lots of healthful, helpful attributes. If you have problems, you should notice an improvement using them.

Try drizzling your toast with honey then sprinkling cinnamon on it for breakfast. Honey is also a good thing for allergies, if you make sure you buy honey produced locally.

Cinnamon can also be used to disinfect when cleaning. Add a bit to the dish water. It is a great natural deodorizer. You can just boil some in a pot on the stove (make sure you don't let the pot run dry). Turn it off and let it steam for a while too. Health Question & Answer

My late grandmother was a believer in what she called "Folk Medicine"
She drank a concoction of honey, apple cider vinegar, with a drop of iodine that she purchased in the health food store (it is important to know that this type of iodine is a nutrient that is found in salt. It is not the iodine you put on a cut). She swore by it. In recent years I have heard that bacteria will not grow in a culture with honey. It is considered natures anti-biotic. I heard a Doctor nominated for a Noble Prize in medicine say that most of today's health issues are due to improper PH. The apple cider vinegar created a more acidic PH. She also took kelp tablets. As Asians have known for centuries the healthful and purifying property's of seaweed. She swore by garlic before it was established as having the ability to regulate blood pressure among other things. So, there may be truth in your drink but I am not informed of cinnamons benefits. My Nana did not even finish 5th grade but she was wise in ways that I still find astounding.Health Question & Answer

No it is not true.
Some kinds of honey, and cinnamon (which is ground up tree bark) do have some mild antibacterial qualities, that's all. No miracle, just basic biochemistry. The effects of either are not superior to standard treatment.
Health Question & Answer

I don't know about the mixture being a general cure-all, but they both have natural antiseptic properties.

Honey is harmless, but cinnamon can both burn the skin and digestive tract and raise blood pressure in large doses.
