What vitamin(s) should I take to fight off an infection?!

Question: What vitamin(s) should I take to fight off an infection.?
I have a painful eyelid infection (not the eye, just inflamed skin - Blepharitis), and I also have a pretty nasty canker sore. My lymph nodes below my chin are a bit swollen.

I don't want to take antibiotics (long history of them), but I would like to get rid of it soon (as I am going on a trip in a week) so what can I do.? Is there a certain vitamin I can take to fight the infection.? Or maybe another natural alternative.?

You need to build up your immune system if you have used antibiotics as they have killed off all the bacteria - good and bad. One of the best ways to do this is to take a high ig (immunoglobulin). This is usually found in acidophilus in yogurt but it works better if you take the supplement. The best thing is that you cannot overdose on this. When I feel sick, I take 2 every hour for 2 - 3 days and that usually kicks it. You can always add as much vitamin C as you want as your body will flush out any unused portion. Be prepared to pee alot as vitamin C fllushes the bladder, but thats a good thing! Health Question & Answer
