I am a freshman in high school and I am interested in becoming a sports medicine doctor. I am a honors student, I am very good in my science and biology classes, also my health class dealing with the human body I was wondering how much schooling and how much it would cost , also the salary and stuff like that. you will need 4 years college, 4 years medical school (either MD or DO school) and then post-graduate training depending on the specialty, for sports, i think it is 3-4 years.
if you are super smart and transfer AP credits, you can probably knock 1 year off of college and graduate early, cost will depend on public vs private college; if you are a minority with good grades you can get scholarships, grants, write essays and get college fully paid, free ride; medical schools usually never give money, you will have to borrow and cost depends on private vs publicHealth Question & Answer
