Some States require a Bachelor's before starting DC school (Washington State, Florida and Hawaii do I believe) and some don't.
The school itself is 4 year, or 3-1/2 if you don't take Summer breaks which most don't.
It is a challenging and rewarding career. But you can't generalize about what they make because a lot of it depends on your business schools.
Working for another Doctor you typically make $30,000-$40,000.
By yourself you can make anything from going out of business due to a poor business plan and location, to half a million.
