Can you overdose on the vitamin Biotin?!
Question: Can you overdose on the vitamin Biotin.?
If so, how many mg's would give you an overdose.?
I got a really atrocious hair recently, and I just cannot stand it. It's been six months and it's only grown about an inch or so. I know Biotin will make your hair grow fast, so I have been taking 5mg a day for almost a month and haven't seen any results. I would be much appreciative of any help!Health Question & Answer

As Biotin (or Vitamin H or B7) is a water soluble vitamin, it is extremely difficult to get too much. Any excess in your system is excreted through urine. There are very few scientific studies that indicate any toxicity levels - and the conclusions are firm that unless you try very, very hard you will not have any adverse reactions to Biotin in large doses.Health Question & Answer
