Just because it's the Target brand doesn't necessarily mean it's bad quality, but you're right that they aren't known for the highest quality.

As long as the bottle says "d-alpha tocopherol" and not "dl-tocopherol" (the 'd' vs. 'dl' is the important part), then you're good... the 'dl' would be a synthetic Vitamin E.

How long it takes depends on your body... how deficient you are in Vitamin E, how long you've been deficient, how well your body absorbs the oil, etc. It sounds like it's a liquid or cream form, so I should mention not to take more than the container recommends... Vitamin E is fat soluble, so it can build up in your system if you take too much.

Why it's making your skin peel.? Do you mean it's peeling as if your skin was sun burned, or peeling as in it's flaking off or coming off a little when you scratch.? If it's just flaking off or being kind of an oily flaky mess, that's perfectly normal when you start... it's just your body ridding the old skin that's already dead. That happens when you scrub, too, but you just don't see it as easily because it's coming off in the scrub. Now, if it's peeling like a bad sun burn, you may be allergic to something in it and you should consult a dermatologist ASAP to either find the ingredient that's doing it or to find a better cream/oil that you aren't allergic to.
I hope I helped!Health Question & Answer
