Spiritual experience with treatment?!
Question: Spiritual experience with treatment.?
This is not the first time as similar has happened before but i carried out a Reflexology treatment on a client today and half way through treatment the client said that they felt as if something was being lifted from them and just burst out crying, after carrying on with treatment the client saw the colour red and felt the lifting experience again, then to end i massage the solar plexus and ask the client to close their eyes and take slow,deep breaths and on doing this the client claimed to see a white light and then started to cry saying that their mum was beside them holding their arms around them.?. Comforting the client and asking if they were ok they replied it was amazing and such a relief and commented that they had never seen a "spirit" before.?
Just curious as to whether anyone else client or therapist has ever had a similar experience.? is it just that the body is Relaxing enough for the mind to experience things or is it something with me.? your opinion please.Health Question & Answer

I have heard of many people who have had experiences like this during both reflexology and aromatherapy. A great number of my clients(I'm a reiki practitioner) would regularly have this type of experience. I believe that when we are relaxed enough, we can experience all manner of things/feelings which we would not do in our tense and stressed states. You play a big role in what some of your clients see/feel as if they did not feel comfortable with you they would not be relaxed enough to enjoy these experiences or release these pent up emotions. I used to find that by the second or third treatment, these emotions would come out. (The first treatment, clients were usually to nervous to relax fully.) Red is said to belong to the base chakra which relates to personal security, physical energy, passion or anger. White Light is believed to be the light of the divine, spiritual energy, cleansing, purifying and protecting. Do not worry about this it is very normal, just ensure that your client does not feel 'floaty' or 'ungrounded' when you leave them. A drink of cold water and a biscuit usually works well to reground them, as does getting them to get up and walk around or focus on the here and now. Have you not thought that you may just be a natural healer.?

Sounds to me as though they were so relaxed, they experienced a wake-initiated lucid dream, or plain old sleep paralysis.

Sheesh, mate i tried to post an answer 2 hours ago ..... looks like yahooooo was having another coffee break hey..... sorry about that ...... your story gave me goosebumps all up and downmy entire body mate ....... sounds like you released somebody from an awful lot of emotional stress anger and pain..... maybe it's you mate ..... maybe you have a precious gift .... i think you are a little healer at heart..... how do you feel though.?.? You also need to cleanse and rejuvenate your spirit ... go for a swim in the beach or have a nice long shower.
