Channeling the effects of marijuana even when not high?!

Question: Channeling the effects of marijuana even when not high.?
anyone who has smoked marijuana knows that it gives the user a pleasant experience when high. i smoked a while ago, so obviously the effects of the drug are long-gone. but this is the strange part: some things that i tend to do when under the influence, like rocking back and forth when reading/listening to music, not being able to watch tv, and feeling the need to draw, etc are still happening. the main thing marijuana does is affect the release of neurotransmitters which are already found naturally in the brain; so, in theory, we should be able to channel these effects even when we're not high. we can go back to that pleasant state if we have the desire to do so. what are your opinions on this.? can we experience that high through meditation or something similar.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Totally possible... but probably not to that extent.

However, trying to accomplish this will give you a wonderful understanding of how your mind works. You already have a sense of how your state of mind changes under the influence so try to expand this.

I don't really condone the use of drugs, because learning to change your state of mind while being 'pure' is much more fulfilling in the long run but anyway... a good practice is to try and become aware of the changes as they take place. Once you can do this well, you will gain more control over the drug. You can speed up its effects, prolong them, slow them down, even ignore them if you want, of course with in certain limits.

If you realize how something changes from what it once was, you have proved that it can change. And if you know how something can change you are one step closer to being able to change it. This might sound excruciatingly obvious, but it is very easy to think one thing has changed, when really something else has. An example is believing that your environment has changed when really it is just how you are seeing it that has changed. By not realizing that you can change, you believe that you can't.

Its hard to really explain something like this to another person, especially like this, but the best thing you can do is become more aware. Everything in life works with a balance; understand what you need to give to take what you want.

Awareness is key.

Don't do drugs!Health Question & Answer

Yes. Though only briefly unless harnessed right. You'd have to meditate for a long time(i.e. LONG TIME) and do it right to get those effects of the herb back without actually using the herb.

The herb is like that for a reason. It's like nothing else on the planet.

I find that seeing or smelling the herb after not using it for a while gives me a very brief giddiness celebrating the existence of the herb. It's more common when I smell it. *starts fiending*Health Question & Answer

not really, i think people who have experienced it remember what its like so they could fake it if for some reason they really wanted to but inside their heads they would still feel pretty normal and not highHealth Question & Answer
