Have you taken Chinese medicines, did they work?!

Question: Have you taken Chinese medicines, did they work.?
Answers:
I have taken some Chinese herbal remedies. Did they work.? like most alternative medicines some do and some don't. Be careful, always consult a doctor before using any medical treatment.Health Question & Answer

I haven't taken Chinese herbs as a medicine but have used astragalus root in soup stock which, like garlic, helps to boost the immune system. This winter none of us in the house had colds or flu and it is delicious.

Herbs are nutritive and can be useful to add to your usual diet.

There are medicinal herbs but you need to know which are the right ones for you. Sometimes herbal remedies interact with your usual medication, or may cancel each other out.

Herbs are becoming increasingly researched to discover their active constituents. You don't say which country you live in, but for example, there are herbs found in Britain and Europe which are medicinal and those in India and so on. It might not be that Chinese Herbs are the best available for you.

Always consult your own doctor or pharmacist before starting a course of herbs.

Hope that helps.Health Question & Answer

Chinese herbs work and why not.? Do German herbs work.? Do native American Indian herbs work.? Do French or India or African jungle or European herbs work.? You bet they do. Herbs have been used for 4000 or more years in every country in the world. Herbs/plants are God's medicine chest. One problem though, you must buy chinese herbs from a completely reputable source. The Chinese are especially well known for adulterating their powdered herbs with real drugs to enhance the effect. Many of these drugs are banned in many countries and they are dangerous. And not listed on the labels. I recommend a site called dragonherbs.comHealth Question & Answer
