Is this a good marketing technique for a massage therapist?!

Question: Is this a good marketing technique for a massage therapist.?
I just moved my massage therapy practice 24 miles from my former location. I need to stimulate some new, local business. Most therapists in this community charge a lot less than I do per session. I don't want to lower my prices. I have 10 years experience and I'm very good at what I do. I think that my skills are a gift to be shared. I was thinking about offering FREE 30 minute massage sessions for one month, one session per customer, with limited space available. It would be a thank you to my existing clientele and a welcome gift to new clients. They could also get a 60 minute massage at half price if they wanted. Will this make me look too desperate for business.? Will I get bombarded with calls and not have enough time/space to fit everyone in and then end up with angry people.? I thought it would also help me to remember what it was like to just want to "give" rather than being so focused on the money aspect of my profession and hopefully reignite that fire I once had for my profession.Health Question & Answer

I say try it. If you get too much of a response just say your sorry, but booked. You might want to offer a small discount or gift to those people if they book anyway. Good luck!Health Question & Answer
