Nutmeg doesn't make you trip. Think about it. If it did, it would have been made illegal years ago. None of those stupid 'urban legend' things get you high or everyone would be doing them wouldn't they.? Smoking tea, taking aspirin with cola all that-rubbish, total rubbish. Nutmeg contains myristin (a compound) which in small doses can cause drowsiness and a feeling of well being, but when taken internally nutmeg can be highly dangerous, with a fatal dose being as little as two whole nutmegs-Seriously!!!! When taken in small amounts (literally just a pinch) nutmeg's good for the control of flatulence and nausea and other digestive problems, and when added to a carrier (oil or ointment) is good for piles, and aches and pains. But it won't get you high, unless you consider 'a feeling of well being' high, which you could you know. Sorry to burst your bubble.Health Question & Answer
