Question: Are Vitamin B-12 shots safe.?
I've been oh so tired lately and I heard about Vitamin B-12 shots. Supposedly the miracle vitamin. Even helps you lose weight too apparently. Anyone know anything about this.? and where there is a cheap place to get them.? Or do I have to have a prescription.?Health Question & Answer

The thing is mate that B12 (cobalamin) needs B6 (pyridoxine), calcium and vitamin D to be effectively assimilated ....... the B complex of vitamins works best synergistically (together) so by isolating one vitamin from that group it will put the others out of sync...... the B complex contains B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, folic acid etc... get yourself a supplement containing all of the B's and pump up your intake of leafy and green vegies (rich in calcium and magnesium) good for levelling out moodiness and irritability, resolving insomnia, achy bones and constipation, lowering high blood pressure, resolving muscular twitching, relieving stress ...... and get 10 - 15 mins daily of safe sun exposure ...... sunshine, vitamin D is known as the sunshine vitamin ... or take fish oils ......... without B12 you'll never assimilate enough iron and hence will suffer all the symptoms of iron deficiency anemia ie ~ fatigue and exhaustion, dizzy spells, excessive feelings of being cold, nasty slapping headaches, paleness of skin........ failing all that maybe you aren't eating often enough.?.? try eating small meals 5 or 6 times daily and pump up your carbs by eating more organic brown rice (organic to avoid the nasty sulfites and other chemicals they use to "preserve" the commercial varieties) ...... carbs give your brain the fuel it needs to work smoothly and your body the energy it needs to bounce luv.

Blackmores do a good one ...... cheap versions of vitamins are sourced from poor quality ingredients and usually impossible to digest thus useless......;0)
