Question: Have just gargled with salty water and now my saliva is salty and I am afraid to swallow.I don't want to vomit.?
My mum just dumped quite a lot of salt in a cup with some water and I gargled it as I have a really bad sore throat. I was careful not to swallow any, and now I have really salty saliva and I've been rinsing my mouth out loads. Will I throw up if I swallow my salty saliva.? I just don't want to throw up!! Please help me to put my mind at rest.Health Question & Answer

You won't throw up. You've washed all the salt out of your mouth and now you're just anxious. The salt water gargle is very good for a sore throat. About one teaspoon of salt in a cup of water is the right proportion. You have to do it frequently for it to help, like every two hours or so.Health Question & Answer
You probably will not up-chuck.
