Diagnosis please? Mature people and answers, thank you!?!

Question: Diagnosis please.? Mature people and answers, thank you!.?
I've been pretty sick for the past few weeks. In the last week of Dec, I had a sinus infection and was put on antibiotics. The strength of the antibiotics lead to my getting a yeast infection and pink eye (all confirmed by my doctor.) I was given eye drops for the pinkeye and one pill for the yeast infection.

After about 4 days, the yeast infection seemed to be gone. There were no visible signs of it, and the painful sensitivity seemed to have cleared up. My boyfriend and I decided to try intercourse. When we did, it wasn't too painful.

The next day, it was very painful. So far, we have been taking it very slowly and it has gotten a little better. (This is where immature people stop reading--) We did engage in some oral activities on Saturday. I was fairly confident in the yeast infection having been all cleared up, so it didn't seem like an issue.

Today, I woke up feeling fine. But now (and for the past few hours) my throat is sore, and my chest hurts. It hurts to breath deeply and especially to cough. I looked down my throat and it does not look discolored, red, white, or anything like that.

I have also had the hiccups on and off for about 3 days. Could that be the cause of the chest pain.? Saturday and Sunday night I drank with my friends (about 4 beers each night). I'm not sure if that has anything to do with anything.

Any ideas.?Health Question & Answer

My goodness that is a lot of illnesses at once! I'm sorry!

No, I don't think it's related to anything other than being sick due to the weather, the close contact, etc, etc, etc.

try drinking some hot tea which should calm the cough, and take some NyQuil. It's god in a bottle, really.

Oh, and the yeast infection should be gone, those things clear up pretty quick. Engage in all the "oral activity" you want, my dear!Health Question & Answer

Are you sure you had a sinus infection.? Sometimes it can be mistaken with the beginning of a cold which could cause most of your symptoms. The hiccups could cause muscles to be sore but would not cause pain. I suggest that maybe you should see the doctor again especially if you feel like the antibiotics didn't work that is a sure sign that you were diagnosed wrong. Hope you feel better.Health Question & Answer

Hiccups are definitely a possibility for the chest pain. also, the cold could have settled in your chest, leaving you with the inability to breathe deeply. If you continue to have trouble breathing, I would recommend seeing a doctor (again) to make sure that you don't have pnemonia.
Do you and your boyfriend use a condom.? It is actually possible to give a yeast infection to a partner. You could reinfect yourself (called Thrush) if the infection wasn't gone during oral. It doesn't sound like you have the symptoms, however, since you don't have any white discoloration. See a doctor if you are concerned. :)Health Question & Answer

It may just be coincidental and you have a chest cold now. You should take it easy after a yeast infection because the tissue is still tender and easy to reinfect.Health Question & Answer

I agree with one of your answerers that the sore throat is likely to be coincidental.

One thing the others have not mentioned is that yeast is a candida infection, and candida can cause symptoms in many parts of the body. Actually, candida is in, on, and around us all the time. It's when we are stressed out that it can take advantage of us. So getting adequate rest is important. You can help support your system by good nutrition and perhaps supplementation with aloe vera and probiotics.

Hope it all smooths out quickly for you!Health Question & Answer
