I recently had gum surgery and they put stitches in. I've never had them before so I'm scared that when they take them out it will hurt.Health Question & Answer

You'll feel the sensation of a little pulling, but absolutely no pain. I had stitches both in my mouth and on my chin, however the one's in my mouth were the dissolvable kind. The only one's that hurt are the one's left in far too long. I'm sure you're in good hands and you've gone through the worst of this entire process already. No worries. :)Health Question & Answer
I've never had stitches before but I've had two sisters who have and both have a different story on how it feels when they come out. I guess I'd have to say it really depends on where it is. If it does hurt, it's probably the fact you're pulling on something that is rubbing against your wound. But it's nothing to bad.Health Question & Answer
No, they just snip the stitches and pull them out with a tweezer
