Oops.. Fat free NOT sugar free!?!

Question: Oops.. Fat free NOT sugar free!.?
Help please. I just had my bedtime snack, pudding and milk. I'm supposed to have 2 carbs. Checked the pudding it was 18gms, with millk I was right on the numbers.

Within about 10 minutes, I felt "funny". Like, hyper or anxious. Then I noticed my palms were sweaty. Somehow I just knew something was really wrong. I am a newby type2.

Welp... it was fat free NOT sugar free, pudding. So, I had 18gm of sugar. HELP!! What should I expect.? What is going to happen.?.? I'm guessing a crash in a few hours. Should I set my alarm clock.? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Please don't tell me I'm an idiot, I already know that. You BET I will be more careful in future. Ok..... any help.? Anyone up.?.?
Thank youHealth Question & Answer

Answers:
You checked the pudding carbs and calculated the milkk carbs. That's the numbers you're supposed to check. Even sugar free foods have some carbs. It's no big deal. Too much sugar will not make a diabetic hyper or anxious, generally too high sugar makes a diabetic feel sleepy or sluggish.
You did not consume enough carbs to cause a health risk.

It appears that you are still not exactly sure how to adjust your diet. Please make an appointment with a nutritionist or dietician. also, you should be receiving treatment with a endocrinologist. If you are seeing a general practitioner for diabetes management, please ask for a referal.Health Question & Answer

Just relax. Going over your limit one time won't kill you. Go to bed. You won't even notice it tomorrow. Be more careful next time.

Or you could get up, get dressed, go out and run a mile or two and work off that sugar. 8^)Health Question & Answer

You are certainly not an idiot. You are overly worried, though. Just go to bed. By tomorrow morning, it will be as though nothing happened.Health Question & Answer

The pudding probably has sugar in it. It's going to raise your blood sugar. I would say most likely you need to not worry about this. Just be more carefull the next time.Health Question & Answer
