Answers:
Lupus. It is very common but relatively unknown. It is very interesting, especially the way they diagnose. I don't know if you will find this in research but someone has to have a certain number of a list of possible symptoms to be diagnosed. Mayo clinic is a fantastic website for this kind of research, no matter the disease.

You can pick many well known disorders however there are some rare ones which need attention and it is people like yourself that can help bring this to the forefront so that people who suffer with it may find hope.
RSD aka Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy now referred to as CRPS aka Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome strikes many more people than what most would ever think.
It is considered "The most painful Chronic Pain disease known to man" and has been noticed since the Civil War. The problem is that nobody even in the medical community unless their practice specializes in it knows what it is. Even ER doctors do not know what this disease is most of the time.
Look under both synonyms for information. Go to RSDSA.or and also to RSDHope.org. Both are very informative.
Basically this affects more women then men and even more younger people than ever before. It happens when a minor injury causes nerve damage that after diagnosis you are told there is NO cure.
The pain is worse than back pain after surgery, cancer pain, giving birth even.
I have this RSD aka CRPS for almost 10yrs and recently met a woman online that also has it (as I've spoken to many others) and could not believe they were recommending at one point to amputate when that is not an option or cure for this disease. It can remain in one area or spread through out your entire body and even cause damage to internal organs at some point.
I haven't been able to work since 1999. I used to be very depressed and wallowed in pain because it is so bad but finally realized that I had to get control over it mind over matter.
If not, so many people commit suicide over this chronic pain disease because either they have NO doctors who can help them or won't or they give up on life because the pain is so overwhelming.
I hope this is something you might consider picking because it is so important to those who have it.
You could submit all you end up writing to the RSD sites I spoke of and help so many.
The only two people that are well known with this disease is Paula Abduhl and on the TV show House; Dr House walks with a cane and takes pills. It was finally disclosed on an episode about "Ketamine Coma" when his character was shot that Chief Cutty of the hospital said he had Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome.
Look into Dr Robert Shwartzman in PA. He is a real leading doctor in this country regarding this disease. Ketamine Coma is not FDA approved in the US but he does send mostly younger patients recently diagnosed to Germany for this surgery/drug induced coma.
I know so many who suffer and if this can educate only one person who may end up with it or find they have a loved one with it understand it better, you have done something truly amazing to me.
