My son takes both along with flonase and allergy shots. He still has symptoms depending on how bad the pollen is.Health Question & Answer
Zyrtec is better. My son was placed on it at age 7 for seasonal allergies. It helped him a great deal so that he went from miserable to functional. He still sniffled a bit but it was better than what we were dealing with (full on allergies). If your child has seasonal allergies, why not contact his or her pediatrician first just to be safe. Not for really little children, and only use it for under 10's with the guidance of a child nurse, doctor or pharmacist.
It's rare,but some people can have reactions to it.
Don't overuse it or he will get a rebound effect (whereby it gets worse)

i would try the doctor because i know im a 14 year old i had the worst alegires last year but know mine arent even here yet idk why but i had them and the doctor perscribed me a medicine that made me feel like i didnt even have them it worked and know i think they are still working or took my allgeries awayHealth Question & Answer
