I'm sick! Could this be something other than a cold?!

Question: I'm sick! Could this be something other than a cold.?
Hi! I'm 18 years old and I haven't had my period since April of this year.. Since then I've been feeling very lethargic and a little bloated.. There is no change that I am pregnant, so that's out of the question.. Since 2 days ago I've been sick with a dry, itchy sore throat, stuffed nose, headaches, dizziness, body aches, and a high fever.. Is this just a cold or could the missed period and sickness be related.? Even if it is just a cold, why would I have missed my period for so long.? Thank you!Health Question & Answer

Please get checked for thyroid problems.. That is the first thing that entered my mind, when you said fever ( body temp out of whack ) and menstruation problems, along with dizziness and headaches, body aches.. Every single one of these symptoms could be a thyroid problem.. I know, I am hypothyroid.. It can make you very ill.. It can cause allergy problems too, dryness and itching, mild sore throat, and stuffy or runny nose.. It can cause stomach issues and bloating, and fatigue as well.. Has there been any change in weight.? See a doctor ASAP..Health Question & Answer

You need to see your gyn and ask about your periods.. It is probably a hormone problem......common in many.. Usually birth control pills help straighten you out.. As for your cold, that's probably all it is.. Colds and intestinal flu are going around everywhere right now.... If your fever is over 103, you need to see a doctor.. If it is a bacterial infection of some kind, the doctor will give you antibiotics.. Stay away from others until you feel better........Health Question & Answer
