I have Red Bumps from Removing Ticks on My Skin.?!
Question: I have Red Bumps from Removing Ticks on My Skin...?
I went hiking over the weekend and when me and my boyfriend got out of the woods, we looked down and each had atleast 30-40 tiny little ticks on our legs.. After spending about an hour getting them all off, my legs appeared to be fine.. Now 2 days later where i pulled the ticks off I have red, itchy bumps where every tick was latched on to me.. I know its not lyme disease cause the ticks were only on us for about 2 hours total and thats not long enough to transmit anything,
Anyone know why I have these bumps and what I can do to take away the itching and burning.?Health Question & Answer

You can't know for sure if anything has been transmitted.. Various diseases (not just Lyme) can be carried in tick saliva, and can be transmitted in a short time.. Ticks can carry all kinds of nasty stuff, and there can be different skin manifestations, not just the well known "bull's-eye rash.."
The fact that you had that many tick bites is cause for concern.. I recommend you read the following websites to learn about tick-borne disease, and then both get checked out by a doctor as well.. Good luck..
