It could be a range of things, including hemarrhoids. If it was fresh blood (bright red), it's most likely hemarrhoids. If it was dark (as in black), it could be supplements, such as iron, if you take any. If it lasts for any longer then 24 hours, I would see a doctor if I was you. They will probably want a sample and send it to a lab for analysis (I look at stools on a regular basis!).Health Question & Answer
