if there are sores and a foul smell, you might have 2 different problems.
herpes causes sores and sometimes discharge, but usually the discharge isnt exactly foul.(there are other problems that cause sores too though).
a foul smell is usually the sign of a bacterial infection for example chlamydia (but there are other bacterial infections that could cause this). so since herpes is viral and not bacterial, its probably not herpes that is causing the smell--herpes is probably just causing the sores.
either way you should go to the doctor and get tested for chlamydia (like a pap smear test) and the doctor can usually tell by looking at the sores whether they are herpes or not.

also, check to see if the sores spread. If you touch one and touch another area does that area get a sore.? Than most likely its herpes.
If it is, dont worry ... in this day and age you can take valtrex and lead a normal normal life if you worry about that.

Sounds Like Chlamydia, and it cannot turn into herpes 2 different things. Just Go to the Doctor and get you medicine either the 1 time drink or the 7 day pills.Health Question & Answer
