You wont get a lisp from getting your tongue peirced.
Yes you will talk funny for a while because of the swelling..
It really only takes a week or two for your tongue to go back to normal size completely, but it wont be healed for about a month..
As long as you take care of it,
it will heal faster.
Use sea salt and mix it with warm water and gargle that around in your mouth for a little bit then spit it out...

Forget the lisp. Some people develop a heart condition and need surgery after getting their tongue pierced. The piercer has to be very careful about a vein in the tongue. also you have to worry about infection or the skin growing around it. Health Question & Answer
