If you go into hospital with symptoms of heart failure and your sent home with no test is this right?!

Question: If you go into hospital with symptoms of heart failure and your sent home with no test is this right.?
My mother went to hospital yesturday for a routine tests on her heart, anyway she went to hospital with wheezing, difficult to wake up, low blood pressure, the doctors couldnt wake her but she was sent to the car in a wheelchair plus she was dribbling blood. Now i would of thought she should of been admitted and put on a ECG machine which would of found her enlarged heart resulting in savin her life. As my mother died yesturday from enlarged heart. But she does have something wrong with her left ventricle plus she has TTP (blood disorder) i apologise but i am mad they should of done some tests on my mum instead of sending her home then she died the same day in bed she was having heart failure while she was at hospital why couldnt the doctors pick it up.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
I think she should have been admitted or observed for 24 Hours. Definitely she requires blood work/ other labs. Pathetic, simply pathetic.
Sorry to hear about irreplaceable loss.Health Question & Answer

I am really sorry about your mother. I think you should sue the hospital and demand some answers, why your mother was not given proper medical attention. May be, if they would have done what was required, she would still be alive. Don't let this issue go, sue the hospital for sure so that next time someone else would not have to go through, what you are going through right now. Take care, my prayers are with you and your family, May God give you strength to go through this ordeal and may your mother rest in peace.Health Question & Answer

I am sorry about your mom hun. Maybe you should speak with a lawyer about this one. Best wishes Health Question & Answer

Yes, they should have done something. However, there isn't much they could have done that would have changed the outcome. If caught very early, then it's possible to go on medication to slow down the progression of the disease.... but by the time heart failure is occurring, there's not a lot that can be done. At most, she would have finished out her days miserable and in a hospital for a few weeks.

Did your mother go to regular yearly doctor's appointments.? An enlarged heart is something that a regular general practitioner should pick up on, but not always. Look, if she had had an anuerism, she might survive it for a few days, but it would kill her regardless of what doctors tried to do. Same goes for heart disease.

I'm very sorry for your loss. The Lord takes us on his time, not ours. If we were ever ready for the loss of a parent (or a child, or anybody) we would all live to be 300 years old.Health Question & Answer
