Question: My sister gets sick about twice a month and has to be hospitalized. No one can figure out whats wrong with her.?
Every single time she gets sick, she has to go get put on IV fluids and has to get a shot to make her stop puking. She is nearly 30 years old and has 3 kids if that has anything to do with it. When she was a kid she always got sick too but it has just been getting worse and worse. Everytime she is around anyone like a family birthday party or anything she gets the flu. She has it at the very least 2 times a month, and it is summer right now and she is still getting sick, which is very costly she has no medical right now. They have done tons and tons of blood tests and have found no reason for it, they just say it is a flu that is going around. But it just seems ridiculous for her to have the flu that many times. I was just wondering if anyone knew what it could possibly be.? She also wieghs about 95lbs. but she eats and excersises regularly. So please if anyone has any idea what could be causing it or what kind of tests they should be doing or what could help please let me know. She was also tested for Addisons disease and it came back negative. The doctor told her it could be from stress but she does not think that it is the cause. She was also in a bad car accident about 11 years ago and has pins and screws in her hip. Could that make her sick.? Health Question & Answer

She should go to a hospital where there is a major university such as Yale, UCLA etc. They will have doctors that are experienced in research, and they may be able to find some answers as to what is going on.

I think she needs to gain weight and strengthen her immune system. She might be underweight. Health Question & Answer
I doubt the pins and screws can make her sick.
Did she get her tubes tied when after she had children.? There may have been some complications.
If i was her/her family i'd take her to a different hospital for a different opinions. Although stress could be a factor i dubt she'd get hospitalized for it. Is she taking any medicine that might make her sick.?

She weighs 95 lbs. How tall is she.? Would you consider her to be underweight.? Has she had endoscopy, specifically esophagogastroduodenoscopy and colonoscopy.? There a few GI disorders that affect the stomach lining or intestinal wall and are difficult to diagnose because no one's looking for them. A biopsies are taken during the procedure. And, no, the surgical pins & screws wouldn't be doing this. I don't believe that stress is causiing this either but it may well be worsening these episodes when they occur.
