If my Daughter's visual acuity is 20/200 both eyes, why would the doctor recommend "no glasses needed" now?!

Question: If my Daughter's visual acuity is 20/200 both eyes, why would the doctor recommend "no glasses needed" now.?
Hi, and thank you in advance for all serious and helpful answers.
My Daughter has Stargardt's Macular Dystrophy, and I finally got the doctor's paperwork form that visit today. He marked "no glasses needed" which baffles me, because she's been wearing glasses for 5 years.
Asking the Doctor does not seem to be an option... he is the head of the research program at this world-renowned teaching hospital.
We are lucky if we spend all day to get there, be seen and get back home, just to have 10 minutes of his time. And of course, his secretary can't answer my questions.
Does anyone have any (good ) ideas (or even knowledge) as to WHY she should not wear her glasses now that she is legally blind.?
Thanks againHealth Question & Answer
