My husband woke up with numb swollen bottom lips and itchiness from head to toe. Can a spider be the cause?!

What state do you all in live in.? If it was a spider bite make sure it wasn't a brown recluse spider. Their venom affects layers of skin if I remember correctly. Not sure what doctors could do for him if that were the case but I think they could help in some way.
also does he see any bite marks on or near his lip.? That might be a sign it was a spider or not.
