If the maker of toothpaste had any realization that it cured acne, crest would make an acne product.
I don't think there are any real homemade recipes that cure acne. If you don't want to buy a lot of products, or money is an issue, the one product you should get is benzoyl peroxide.
I have found that benzoyl peroxide at night and then in the am, has cured my acne in days.
