hmm. this seems a bit odd.
Firstly, I'd consider: 1) what medications have you taken for it
2) have you taken these meds correctly
3)have you been using the same dr. for this issue or different doctors
If you're taking antibiotics then there must be some reason why you say it hasn't cleared for the past 4 years (eliminating the possiblity that you're re-infecting yourself)
The most common meds for treating chlamydia are azithromycin, doxicycline, erythromycin and oflaxacin. Normally, if one doesn't work then the dr. would try another. But something has to work - you cannot live your life like this ok
Do me a favor and try to go to the specialist centre or something along that line- strictly adhere to the prescribed treatment....and another important factor is that your sexual partner must be treated as well. You could also inquire about doing a culture to determine which medicines your infection will be sensitive too, to have a clearer picture and faster results.
