Question: Hormonal imbalance.? MS.? CFS.? I am at my wits end! Im only 25! Please read!! I will vote for best answer!.?

Jaw Pain
Upper and Middle Back Pain
Hair is severely falling out and thinning
Periods are irregular, Out of 6 weeks, i have been bleeding 4 weeks!
Joint pain in shoulders, wrists, and Bad pain in the corner of my chests like in my armpit area on both sides.
Tingles in my legs like icy prickles in calves.
No energy, very fatigued
foggy headed
Vision is extremely Shaky, feels like i am being shaken
No motivation, Dont enjoy things like I used too..
Body Aches Severe! My whole body hurts, and so do my joints!

I went to the doctor, and they put me on Paxil CR, the generic form, and said it was anxiety. My biggest concern was the shaky vision because it was causing hard time to drive, or concerntrate at work, i litereally felt like I was going crazy!

Paxil helped at first I thought, but I think i was just "Hoping" it helped. I really feel that I have an hormonal imbalance. I have read these are symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis, and Coronary Heart Disease as well. So I am scared.

I went to the ER Last night because of the chest pain by my armpits, Any suggestions.? Anyone been through this!.? My EKG came back normal, so did my blood work. Now today I have a HORRIBLE throat pain, I swear I feel like I am falling apart :(

Can all this be a HORMONAL IMBALANCE.? Or is it something worse, I have been to docs, and I get no where, im only 25 years old, and I am so aggitated and scared!

Answers:
I can certainly understand your concerns. I've gone through a similar situation and I was also put on Paxil and than Lexapro. I had gone though a laundry list of physical problems and my doctor was convinced that I was having anxiety and panic attacks. After four months, i was still experiencing physical problems. I had TMJ (jaw clicking), sleep patterns was never normal and I would have general aches and pains. I felt like my entire body was falling apart. I was so discouraged. It was only after some additonal testing, they had found that my hormones was extremely low and I also suffer from severe sleep apnea.

I certainly don't want to discourage you from fighting, but it did take a few months to sort it all out. I had my sleep apnea addressed and I started to take hormone replacements. Little by little, I started to feel better.

I suggestion. Hang in there. Maybe it a hormone imbalance and the doctor will be able to help you get your life back.

I hope this helps you, Please take care of yourself.Health Question & Answer

Find another doctor or if you don't mind go back to the one who put you on the Paxil and demand to have a full Thyroid Function Test done.

It sounds a hell of a lot like hypothyroidism to me.

Do you feel the cold easily.? Have heavy periods.?

Once you are on thyroxine for a couple of months most of the symptoms would have eased. But after about 9 days you will be feeling more motivated.
