Crabs and public lice can be contracted from a toilet seat, but they only live 24 hours, and getting them is, like said before, pretty unlikely.
Dry toilet seats can't give you herpes, but of course, if they're not dry there's a small chance that they could.
So...I have to say although it's a SMALL possibility, the best you could do is use toilet seat covers and if there aren't any, use toilet paper as a substitution. That's what I do anyway. =)Health Question & Answer

Not unless you were sitting on the seat at the same time some one with genital herpes was and you two were rubbing your genitals together.

Herpes can only live on a living body. You cant get it from a toliet seat becuase it is not living. I have don't alot of research about herpes becuase i was diagnosed with it in Dec 2007! Good luck, but be careful!!Health Question & Answer
Not unless there was some freshly, still warm genital fluid on it that you rubbed on your genitals. Any more than thirty second to cool and dry, and the herpes goes inert.Health Question & Answer
