Question: Razor burn or genital herpes.?
i was diagnosed with genital herpes type 1 six years ago and have never had an outbreak since. every time i shave i seem to get a small rash on the lips of my vagina, and down near where my vagina ends (i shave there too). i also get it where my pubic hair is. it just looks like small red pimples. i think its just razor burn coz i get it every time after i shave, and it usually only lasts 2-3 days at the most, but i'm paranoid that it might be an outbreak. but can anyone tell me wat razor burn usually looks and feels like.? mine is a bit itchy and can get sore wen it rubs against my underwear, especially if im wearing a g-string. also, can razor burn spread a bit further away from where you shave.? please help!Health Question & Answer

Herpes out breaks usually come with painful tingling, itching and or burning sensations.
Razor rash is usually just itchy with some pimply things.
I have out breaks that feel like an extra really bad case of razor burn, when that happens I take my meds. I hardly get the blisters or sores since I have had herpes for over a year. My last bad out break happened a couple of months after I first knew that I had herpes.
It could be ingrown hairs, pimples, boils, pearly papules. If your worried then have a gyno or doctor take a look, some times they can tell by looking.

Razor burn is a buring/itchly/sore/irritated sensation that usually is very disturbing. It usually looks red and small lil pimple-like surface that usually goes away after a while.Health Question & Answer
