Bladder infection?!?!?!

Question: Bladder infection.?!.?!.?
Okay so im pretty sure i have a bladder infection...
and i had sex a couple weeks ago.
what makes girls get a bladder infection after sex.?
and what would happen if someone had sex during a bladder infection.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
The friction of intercourse can also cause "cystitis." If you haven't had sex often and have a long night or day it can be abrasive and not necessarily a bacteria.

If your urine culture is negative a drug like Prosed DS can be used. It's the "blue stuff" as some urologists call it.

If you have a bladder infection the right antibiotic is based on the bacteria. Sometimes not wiping front to back thoroughly can bring bacteria into the wrong area, the urethra.

Until you get to a doctor try Cranberry Juice, lots of water and cran caps if you don't enjoy the juice. Rest up from sexual intercourse until you get this cleared up, it can only make it more painful. UTI's can cause other issues so you want to take care of it asap.

Wishing you the best of health and relief from this asap.

Best regards

PS I disagree with the poster that said "If you have sex with a uti then you can give your partner a form of a yeast infection" That is NOT the case. It's in your best interests not to have sex until you're on i.e. a sufla drug or cipro for a bacteria and if non bacterial to rest up the "area" well. Best of health!Health Question & Answer

You need to make sure that its actually an infection and not a sexually transmitted disease. The symptoms can be identical. also a bladder infection wont go away on its own. The reason women are more susceptible to "UTI - urinary tract infections" is because their urethra is significantly shorter than men's. If your getting bladder infections after sex it could have to do with contact with the anus and your vagina, infecting it with bacteria. If you have sex with a uti then you can give your partner a form of a yeast infection. Its not the same as an STD in essence, but in ways the same thing, and treated the same. Regardless of all of the information above you should go see the doc so you can get the appropriate treatment. Health Question & Answer

i just got a bladder infecton from sex 2 weeks ago but i am cured.
The doctor said that when you have sex that bacterias get all mixed up, and that after you have sex you should pee right away, because it puts the bascterias into place or something. and she also said that it can inflame something near or blasser and it will make you pee blood while you have the infection. Go to the doctor right away, if you dont it can turn into a kidney infection. The day you get your pills, the next day it wont hurt to go potty anymoreHealth Question & Answer

This may sound gross, but the bacteria are multiplying down there as you speak. If you have sex, it may be uncomfortable for you, depending on how badly you are infected. Since the bacteria is in your bladder, sex would have no impact on your partner or you if you can endure the pain (if it ensues). This is the icky part: poop particles can be to blame for them (that's why they say to "wipe from front to back" for us females)
Just drink lots of water and especially cranberry juice. This will prevent things from getting worse. Then seek out medical advice from a doctor so you can get the medication you need to fight this thing.

Good luck!!!Health Question & Answer

You can get a bladder infection during sex if some bacteria from your/his (depends on what you were doing) anus accidently got into your vagina. I don't know what would happen if you have sex with the infection, but I don't think you will have problems if you use a condom. Health Question & Answer
