Can I get lead poisoning?!

Question: Can I get lead poisoning.?
Today at school my buddy was playin around and stabbed me with his pencil.

The whole lead part of the pencil (non-mechanical) went into my skin.

It hurt a little bit, but not a ton.
I just got over it lol.

It started bleeding out black blood, and now the little dried up mark looks black and it kind of gives off this little shock

Answers:
Pencils do not have real lead in them, its actually graphite and is pretty much harmless. I still have a piece in my arm from when I was a kid. Likely the 'black' blood is just blood saturated with granules of the graphite material. I'd say go get it taken out, but you're not poisoned, no worries. :)Health Question & Answer

I don't know about the shock, but as for the rest...

Pencil lead doesn't actually contain lead; it's graphite, so you won't get lead poisoning. Graphite does deposit in your skin, so even once then cut heals, you may have a blue mark. (Ask your friends; I bet you're not the only one who's even been stabbed with a pencil.)

Keep the area where your "buddy" stabbed you clean. If it becomes red or swells up, get it checked out, as those could be signs of infection.Health Question & Answer

You should really go to the ER to get this checked. It may not be lead poisoning, but you could get a bad infection from the lead. Please go see a doctor. Health Question & Answer
