in medical terms, there is no disease called the decreased liver function. however, decreased liver function can lead to certain diseases like hepatitis A,B,C etc. other than this cirrhosis is another disease related to it.

It depends on what the underlying pathology is.. If you have decreased liver function, you will probably turn yellow, because the liver may not be able to filter out the billirubin from the heme in the blood... pretty much it means that your liver isn't processing things correctly, which means you can't digest fatty foods for one, and it can make you pretty sick. I don't know of a "cure", but I do know there are liver transplants. Your liver, is the only organ in your body that can re-generate. They can take half of someone elses liver and place it into you, and it will grow into a full size liver.
