Question: How common is it for somone to get infectted with hiv with the use of a condom.?
and if so, do you know of anyone.? just concerned cause a male friend of mine said he used a condom with a protitute (I know), but now he;s concerned he has aids (thinking the withdrawl of the condom might of s"smeared" alittle virus on the tip of the penis) could this happen.?Health Question & Answer

It is very uncommon. A Study of 10,000 serodiscordant (one person infected, the other was not) couples in Europe who consistently and correctly used condoms did not have a single case of transmission. It is very unlikely that he caught HIV that way. Once HIV hits the air, it deactivates. He should stop having sex with prostitutes and get an STD screen.
