Answers:
They are both viruses, but cause a different degree of symptoms.
The "Common Cold" typically results in a rapid onset of symptoms that include a low grade temp (99-100 F), runny nose, chills, and a cough.
The "Flu" (which has not been greatly seen at this time of year yet), has a rapid succession of severe body aches, high temp (>103 F), runny nose, and dry hacking cough.
