Could my three year old have arthritis?!

Question: Could my three year old have arthritis.?
Ive heard of juvenile arthritis, but it seems odd. My three year old daughter has been complaining off and on for weeks that her thumbs hurt. She used to be able to bend them so far back that she could touch her wrists ("double jointed" or whatever). Now she is unable to straighten either thumb out (like to do thumbs up) and they are starting to bend sideways at the joint. The right one is very swollen. We saw her doctor 2 wks ago, and they thought she had fractured the one thumb. But xrays were inconclusive, and now the other thumb is swollen and crooked as well. We went to the dr today, and are awaiting the results of a blood test. Does this sound like JRA to anyone.? If its not arthritis, anyone know what it could be.? Im so worried!!! Thanks for your help. Answers:
it might be juvenile arthritis. there is also something called "trigger thumb" which is an inflammatory condition cause by over using the thumb joint. My aunt is a nurse and I remember her telling me about it. I hope your daughter is ok. Health Question & Answer
