I stopped, and my shoulders stopped hurting, and when I got a drink mix with artificial sweetener they started hurting again. Is it possible to get something like arthritis from sweeteners.?Health Question & Answer

There are tons of reports about Nutrasweet causing muscle soreness and stiffness. This is an artificial sweetner that was released by the FDA without extensive testing due to the saccharin hysteria (which was found to be totally unfounded). It causes migraines in a lot of people also, which is just another form of muscle cramping. My husband could barely walk when he was using artificial sweetener. It is not unusual. Some people are very lucky and can take them without problems, but I know more people that have health problems that stem from their use. I would not use them , if I were you.Health Question & Answer
