Good news is that you have gone to a doctor and they have done all the test that a good conscientious doctor would do. You have had an EKG, Stress test, and an echocardiogram. Make sure you make your appointment with the cardiologist.

The bad news, is that they haven't given you any answers.

There is so much our modern medicine doesn't know, but I do know about some patterns that I see in the ER.

A lot of women come in their early 40's to late 50's. They seem to have this syndrome that I see in their age. "Palpitations, feelings of anxiety, chest pressure, feelings of fluttering, shortness of breath." And, all the tests come back negative.

On further questioning, I think something happens when a woman is pre-menopausal. All the hormones are out of wack, and the palpitations and the feelings of chest pressure and anxiety come with it.

I'm not saying that this is what you have, because I'm not even sure how old your are, but I hope that you can find an answer and that you feel better. Make sure to make that cardiologist appointment. Health Question & Answer

for your own safety you should generally defend yourself by not trusting doctors. they're usually elitist, and just because they spent a large of their majority of their life dedicated to becoming knowledgeable in their field, passed hundreds of tests while interns and then gained residency, and passed the review of a harsh board who deals with thousands of up-and-comings doesn't always mean their right. don't trust them. Trust a doctor...LOL, you might better trust your auto mechanic. Why do you think doctors call it "practicing" medicine.? Some may be caring, but most are pretty lame and unless you have the common cold, they are clueless, and think we are all morons.Health Question & Answer

Never give your doctor the benefit of the doubt, I would get a second professional opinion.Health Question & Answer

It could be a case of hypochondria, or yes, get a second opinion to put it to rest.Health Question & Answer
