Essential oils have certain chemical compounds.
Even if you don't enjoy the aroma, these chemicals will still work on your body.Health Question & Answer

Yes and no. Obviously because you cannot smell aromas you will not get the benefits of the scent of the oils (which unfortunately for you plays a large part in aromatherapy - hence the title 'aroma').
However you can still get loads of benefit from using these oils as a massage treatment used with a carrier oil. Its thought the oils are also beneficial if massaged into the skin and can be used to treat all sorts of skin or circulatory problems so apart from the smell which you wont benefit from you certainly will benefit from every other aspect of Aromatherapy.Health Question & Answer

Perhaps a doctor could give you more information about your inability to smell/if not an ear, nose and throat specialist (probably require a referral from a G.P. first though)Health Question & Answer
