Recurring ear infections?!

Question: Recurring ear infections.?
Since I was 11 years old I have had constant and recurring ear infections. I had tubes put in and my adenoids removed when I was 11. At 13 I had 8 more surgeries on my ears. They work for a good 8 years. But now I keep getting awful ear infections in my right ear (surgeries were in my left). I described to my doctor the level of pain and discomfort as a 8 out of 10. It's horrible! And the pain I have had and the severity of the infections are just as bad as they were if not worse than that of the infections I had before my surgeries. Could this mean more surgeries.? I'm not worried if it does. They were only day surgeries and minor recovering periods. But also why could I be getting so many.? I was seeing an audiologist for my ears before but haven't seen one since he retired. Should I ask my doctor for a new referral.? Or could I just call the office where the other specialist was and see who took over his patients.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
i would go to the doctor because you might need to have tubes put in your right ear. first i would go to your regular doctor and tell him that your ear doctor retired and see what they want to do do. Health Question & Answer
