Not sure where you live but Hedrin lotion is fantastic, its a non chemical treatment that basically smothers the live lice, no nasty smells.
You leave it on overnight and wash the dead lice out the next day, and they are dead believe it or not. Repeat after 7 days to catch any hatching out lice.
