Aldara for basil skin carcinoma?!

Question: Aldara for basil skin carcinoma.?
I have a slight bit of basil skin carcinoma on my face and my dermatologist prescribed Aldara to get rid of it. Is this product safe for your face because I found where the FDA says it shouldn't be applied there. also, I had a fellow co-worker use this on his forehead and he looked so freakish that he had to take three weeks off because of how bad it looked. Are there any alternative creams or herbal supplememts that might work on this.? Thanks ahead.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
If you want the skin cancer gone, you need to follow your dermatologist's advice. Sure, it makes the area very red, the skin then flakes/peels off and it can make your skin look bad temporarily but that is better than have more episodes of the skin cancer needing treatment. Do it right the first time and you may not have to do it again. There are no herbal treatments that will cure a basal cell carcinoma. After this is treated, make sure you continue with annual check-ups with your dermatologist.Health Question & Answer
