Has anyone had this year's strain of flu virus?!
Question: Has anyone had this year's strain of flu virus.?
Just wondering -- I had my 4 year old and 2 year old grandsons a week ago and the 4 year old was sick with fever, cough, sore throat. He seemed to get better after about 4 days. The younger one never got sick.
Sunday I started feeling bad, but just thought I was tired from keeping the grandkids for a week. Then Monday, still felt very tired, Tuesday noticed that my lungs hurt, throat was scratchy. Wednesday just couldn't get my head clear, felt in a fog and very dizzy. Thursday it hit hard -- what ever this is! -- and I slept for 16 hours straight. That is very uncharacteristic for me. Today, Friday, I am a little better, but still not feeling even 50% better. My lungs still hurt, coughing a lot, fever, every joint in my body hurts, fuzzy headed, tired, no appetite and no energy.
Has anyone had this year's strain of flu virus.? Could I have the flu.? If anyone has had it, how long did it linger before you finally got better.?Health Question & Answer

I haven't had it, but what worries me is that your lungs hurt. My husband had a horrible case of pneumonia last year. It started out as a flu but evolved into a full blown case of double pneumonia. I would try to see a doctor tomorrow if you wake up and you're not feeling better. Because even though it may not be pneumonia, it could be an upper respiratory infection.

I rarely get sick, but I just got over a 7-day flu; perhaps it's the same as you mentioned. Started with a scratchy throat, then sore throat, then lots of coughing. Then it became a fever, aching muscles & tiredness, and downgraded to slight coughing, high fever, and a runny nose the last 2 days.Health Question & Answer
