I know I have to take the test , I am ging to go in the 3 month mark...ok, so here;s my story, my husband cheated on me with a prostitute, and you know they have a higher chance of being infected with millions of deceases, anyways he never told me aything back then at that time, and well we had sex (no condom) everything was fine until he noticed an std symptom down there, that's when he told of his deed. we went to the clinin to get tested, but it was too early to detect other stds. i suspect also hiv, I havent had symptoms of it though, he well he has had very warm testicles, a little pain when urination, I m just wondering...he said he said he used a condom (it was in her purse) I have a lot of doubts though, could she have poked holes on it on porpose if she had hiv.?...Health Question & Answer

poking holes in condoms is a possibiliey but who knows intill you go get tested and find out yourself if your hiv positive or negative thats the only way to find out. After his explosure with having supposely protected sex you could be able to get tested within 2 to 3 weeks for all stds including genital herpes . First off, the symptoms you describe your husband as having are not related to HIV. It sounds like he caught something, so he could have caught HIV as well.
Secondly, it is more likely that your husband didn't use a condom when compared to the scenario that the prostitute poked holes into the one she was carrying. Oh honey, get rid of this guy. He not only cheated on you, he put your life in danger! Don't worry yourself to death. Just go have your test done and if you are positive, it's probably early enough to get on meds and still be able to manage this. It sounds like he might have something like gonorrhea. Oh my, first thing, I would get rid of that man, if he would endanger your life by having sex with a prostitute, obviously he has no respect for you and obviously he doesn't respect himself.
I would get tested at 3 months and again at 6 months.

Don't wait 3 months, get tested now. It will give you a base line of where you are at, then retest in 3 months. HIV usually shows up 90% of the time after 30 days.
