Can I get his skin condition?!
Question: Can I get his skin condition.?
One of my best friends and I fight alot, and we always screw around and wrestle. I'm a girl and he's a guy. He has a skin disease which he says is not contagious, and most of his body is covered with rashes. He always itches and rubs his face on his shirt. Some of the little things on his arm look like little pimples, but they're not. Recently I got a rash on my wrist and a few little bumps kind of identical to his. Can this mean that my body's adopting his skin condition.? (If you're my friend reading this, sorry but I'm just kind of scared because it'll really suck if I inherit it.) We also dig our nails into eachother alot, and he itches with his nails and he penetrated my skin quite a few times. I put Purell on them just in case.

Obviously it depends on what your friends skin condition is called but, there are quite a few skin conditions that are catching. My sister had a bad rash on her hands and arms and was told that it was not catching but eventually after seeing a skin specialist she was advised that she had caught the condition and that it could be passed on to others. She has been treated with various ointments and injections but it was a long drawn out process.
If I were you I would go to your GP and explain your concerns, explain the type of condition that your friend has and that you are always messing about etc and that you are worried you may catch the condition.
I am sure that he will be able to check you out and either put your mind at rest or advise you of the best course of action.
Hope this helps and good luck

stop before you loose your best mate-ask him what his condition is and if there is any risk it might just be eczema but be careful all this rough and tumble can open wounds causing your friend to scratch.might sound stupid but have a laugh doing it and both wear socks on your hands to reduce the risk of scratching each other Health Question & Answer
I'd go see a doctor, sounds like it could be scabies-which are highly contagiousHealth Question & Answer
This is not gonna be pleasant but while you are busy digging and wrestling each other, yu cud potentially be opening a pore on his condition. the bacteria there4 is transferred ur skin and yu catch the infection...
& also, when he scratches it,he opens the skin and allows the infectious bacteria 2 *** out,wen he touches you, they can transfer
I recommend you visit your GP or ur local clinic..
I also suggested you avoid physical contact with this guy and try not to spread it.
I hope this is useful and not scary!!
