How do you know if you have a fever blister, and if you do, how do you get rid of it?!

Question: How do you know if you have a fever blister, and if you do, how do you get rid of it.?
Answers:
A fever blister is nothing to be concerned of. Pretty much everyone gets them, young and old, but most people call them cold sores. Sometimes you get them before or after you have been sick with the common cold.
You can go to your local pharmacy, or Walgreens and they have a nice big section full of many types of cold sore or fever blister ointments. Usually they go away on their own in about a week, but if you want to speed up the process I suggest buying Abreva. It's a tiny tube, and a little expensive, but it's worth it.
Usually fever blisters are small and bubble like. It feels like you'll be able to pop it or move it around, but that's exactly what you don't want to do. Once you pop it and the clear liquid starts spilling it out, it's going to spread even more and when it starts to heal its going to look gross.
When they start to heal, they usually scab. It's a small scab, barely noticeable, but just keep chapstick handy in case it starts to look a little ashy.
Seriously, you have nothing to worry about, everyone gets them. They can be spread if you have one and you share a drink or something like that. But just follow what I said and you'll be fine =]Health Question & Answer
