Oily skin because of benzoyl peroxide!?!

Question: Oily skin because of benzoyl peroxide!.?
Hey I used to have normal skin, but then I started using benzoyl peroxide for 8 months. This really dried out my skin. Then a month ago I stopped using it, and my face was just incredibly oily. I kept on putting moisturizer on it for 3 weeks but it was still super oily. I'm asking this because I just saw a facial lady and she said I should quit using that because its irritating my skin. She gave me this aloe vera tea tree oil thing and said to just put this on each night and morning.http://www.verabella.com/mm5/merchant.mv...
But what do I do about it being oily.? And do you think that product will be as effective as BP.? Thanks! Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Use Stridex pads with Sylacitic Acid - they will strip the oil and help with keeping your skin acne free. I believe that the woman who gave you the Aloe Vera/Tea Tree oil is trying to help in the same way because the Tea Tree extract contains Sylacitic Acid in small quantities. I used the Stridex pads though with great success and I think you could benefit too. If you want to apply any oils to your skin, you can do so using other organic soaponified oils not processed with any benzyls, hexyls or other petrochemicals the way they do with cheap processing on a mass scale by using the soap from ESP Botanicals web site. You could try one bar of it that will last you several months probably, and see if it helps - I think they're only about $6 or $7 plus shipping. Health Question & Answer

What the skin needs is a treatment that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.

Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

Dont put moisturizer on it! That only makes it worse, use oil free toner, wash, etc. Health Question & Answer
